Quality control

PlantResearch handles part of the quality control for several companies. Quality control can have a major impact. Guaranteeing a good product can give a competitive edge and can also ensure a high customer satisfaction. At the same time, an error can easily be overlooked, which may cost you dearly. In such instances it is a good thing to have someone with a lot of experience to give additional support checking, or to handle the entire quality control process for you if required.

Among other things, quality control can cover the following aspects:

Packaging

We control whether packaging actually states its contents. The packing date and batch number always need to be verified before a product can be brought to market.

Quality control fertilizer and substrates

Batch controls are an important aspect of quality control. For a number of customers PlantResearch performs batch control, both during production and afterwards. From each produced batch samples are taken and when the contents don’t correspond with specifications action is taken. This way product recalls can be prevented.

Shelf life conditions

In shelf life tests we verify if a product keeps its characteristics under various circumstances. Click on the shelf life section to check the possibilities.

Processing

When it comes to quality, a lot can also be gained in the production process itself, through pre-checking the installation for possible contamination, spills, incorrect valve settings or other possible disruptions of the production process. These controls are often described in hygiene production protocols.

Pest control

In our trial greenhouse, companies can have their products tested for possible pests in closed insect cages. In addition, we can verify with the customer where in the supply chain a product possibly has been contaminated and thus find a solution. Products that are guaranteed free of pests are one up on the market.
